Lunch repair was an important activity when planning the lunch menu. We saw that our first plan for a healthy lunch had unbalancing amounts of omega-6 that reversed the benefit of the omega-3 nutrients. The two menus below show how Recipe Repair easily rescued the plan by using Omega Meals to NIX the 6 and EAT the 3.
Before: Healthy food items were mixed with items having very negative scores (click plan for details).
After: Use more positive items to replace the mayonnaise, chips and salad dressing. NIXing the 6 allows us to gain more certain benefit from eating the spinach and tuna. Please note that solid white tuna (+46) has a better score than light tuna (+16). (click plan for details).
